《彩霞满天》是根据琼瑶同名小说改编而来，故事据说是真实的，有现实生活中的原型人物，讲述女主人公殷采芹从六岁起就开始的一个几近绝望的爱情，在经历苦难后终得圆满。与诸多琼瑶片相象，本片仍旧选择黄金搭档秦汉、林青霞主演。从这部片子里，你会重见林美人的昔日风彩，站在海边，长发飘飘，青霞与彩霞相映，那般秀色可真是美不胜收。
